“We arrived to find the lovely cottage all snug and warm with the gas wood burner blazing, a wonderful touch. Open plan living downstairs with a well equipped kitchen for self catering. A lovely double bedroom, single bedroom and modern bathroom with separate shower upstairs. Compact and bijou. The lovely owner is next door and introduced himself to us as we arrived and said to ask if we needed anything. It is situated down a quiet one way street in the centre of Grasmere with shops, pubs and eateries a stones throw away. We spent 5 nights here and loved every minute of it! Want to go back......”

“Well equipped cottage, in the centre of Grassmere. Great walks around Grassmere and Rydal water which is close by. Good bus connections to Windermere and Ambleside and Keswick. Quiet surroundings except the birds! But we enjoyed that. You can also use the swimming pool for free. Lovely shops, restaurants, Co-op just around the corner from the cottage where you can find everything you need for a lovely stay.
We had a great time! It's our second time staying here. Worth a try.”

“The cottage was in the perfect location for a family holiday that included family members from 10 years to 89 years old and large enough to accommodate us all comfortably.Being right in the heart of Grasmere meant that my mum and my younger daughter could both get to the shops and cafes very easily. But as the cottage is on the banks of the river with views over to Butter Crag it never felt as if we were in the town at all. The cottage was the right combination of comfortable and practical and had everything we needed. And Martin was helpful without being intrusive. All in all a great place to stay.”

“Stayed here for a long weekend over May bank holiday. The cottage is fantastic , spread over 3 floors. Set in a gorgeous location in the beautiful village of Grasmere. The cottage is right next to the river with an outdoor seating area ideal for bbq's. 3 good sized bedrooms, living room and a kitchen with everything you'll need. Friendly, helpful owner as well. Would love to return
